The Deer of Nara
The town Nara is famous deer roaming around freely, and it's needless to say how much of a tourist attraction that makes. That being said: of course I had to go! I took a half day-ish trip from Osaka to the city of deer with the goal in mind to pet as many of them.
There were deer. Many of them.

NARA
a japanese fairytale (deer content)

I stumbled upon a photoshoot in the park and couldn't help but take a few "outtakes" of the scene
They were bored. They don't care if you pet them, or not, because that's what they do all day long. What they care about is the deer cookies that are being sold in the park. If you feed them a cookie, they bow down and look like they are saying thank you.

There is also a number of temples in Nara, I visited a few of them, the deer park, and the town itself.

All in all I would not consider Nara a must-see; nevertheless I took a few pictures of the fairytale-like scenes, I pet about two deers, and I noticed how little they care about human company when it does not involve cookies.

Taking pictures ot manholes in every japanese city has become a hobby, and the one in Nara had deer and cherry blossoms on it
